A fabulous collective of musicians from Hoboken New Jersey, "Wild Carnation" got together and made two incredible albums in the early 1990s. Professional musicians, had a great time with this project, the music was outstanding when first released, and they have now remastered the album "Tricycle" for Record Store Day 2023, with some demos, and a live set.

We talked about the music as it happened, and how they managed to keep the band going amidst so many other bands they all play in.

"Tricycle" is one that I wish I heard when it was released, it is a winner of an album, and its re release packs a punch, and is now out for the first time on vinyl.

They are a spinoff of "The Feelies" (if you like the Velvet Underground, you gotta check them out).

I spoke with Brenda Sauter, Christ O'Donovan, and Rich Barnes, about the music, the history behind it and how they managed getting all of the tracks together for this re-release.
