NREMT Article: https://www.nremt.org/News/National-Registry-Adopts-Scaled-Score-Reporting-fo
The NREMT announced last month that they will be changing the way failed candidates receive feedback on their failed NREMT attempt. Traditionally if you fail NREMT, you get back either a below passing, near passing or above passing result marked in the 5 main categories.
The 5 national registry exam categories of Airway/Respiration/Ventilation, Cardiology and Resuscitation, Trauma, Medical/OBGYN, and EMS operations would each give you back one of the above "scores." Now the NREMT is changing this to what I believe will be some sort of "stat" or "numeric" value.
The news article simply states that a "scaled score" will be provided, I hope a example will be provided for candidates to see soon. Reminder to all there is no said change to the way the exam itself is scored, rather NREMT aims to provide more feedback to failed attempts in order to help assist the student pass next time.
If you have failed NREMT or are preparing for the NREMT exam at any certification level this is the resource I give all my students to prepare and pass: https://www.prepareforems.com
