In the 80's DNA, facial reconstruction, and basically all sort of modern day evidence we accept and think as standard were in their infancy and not credible. The investigators of this case thought outside the box and took a chance on these available methods. This helped to find and identify the victim Karen Price and ultimately solve her murder.
