The film was directed by Mary Harron an is an adaptation of the 1991 Bret Easton Ellis novel of the same name. The film stars Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, Jared Leto, Chloe Sevigny and Reese Witherspoon and is arguably the film which catapulted Christian Bale to stardom.
