Feedback can be given and received in many forms. There’s feedback that we request, feedback that’s unsolicited, and sometimes even feedback that we’ve expressed is unwelcome from the start.

In this episode we’ll share our own personal experiences with giving and receiving feedback. We’ll dive into how you know when it’s appropriate to give feedback, and also some things you should consider when it comes to receiving feedback.

Points Discussed in this Episode

  • Understanding the context of the situation overall when giving and receiving feedback
  • What happens when you rely too heavily on others’ feedback
  • Having a system or checklist to help you determine when you should listen, take on, or shut down feedback
  • How maturity impacts your ability to give and receive feedback
  • The “Yes, and…” approach
  • Asking for feedback
