In this episode, he draws attention to the impulse of the early church to formulate creeds and explains where this impulse comes from. The listener should know that Dr. Montgomery and I have decided to use a book entitled, The Story of Creeds and Confessions: Tracing the Development of the Christian Faith, as a kind of outline for this series.
