#6 - The Greatest Gift Is Vulnerability With Madison Mckay
Manage episode 376525903 series 3510033
Madison McKay is a best friend of mine from college. Being completely honest, I don’t think you could find a person who, in conversation with Madison, wouldn’t feel like she truly means well. It’s one of the reasons I have always tried to keep in contact with her, she’s a kind soul who wants to invest in and help the people around her. And that kind of energy is contagious. Growing up in Texas, she dedicated the majority of her spare time out of school to dancing, a passion which she followed into college. Through the years of practice and performances, she found dance not only to be an avenue for joy, but also one that shaped her perspective on connecting with others. By genuinely expressing herself, either on stage or in her personal relationships, she has found that she can form more trustworthy bonds. In this conversation we talk about the intense training required to dance in college, the benefit of interacting with people out of your normal groups, the fulfillment that follows after exhausting effort, and both the great joys and frustrations that come from honestly trusting others. I had a great time listening to Madison, and I think you will too.
