ABOUT JACKIE HANDY
In July 2019 Jackie Handy’s life changed irrevocably when her mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Jackie felt like many relatives of the 55 million people worldwide living with the condition; helpless and heartbroken.
Four years later, Jackie was determined to take back some control and decided to walk the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile trek across northern Spain. Partly for selfish reasons to challenge herself and partly to raise money for a dementia charity.
