In Episode 6 of “Finding the Front” we have a very timely and fortunate opportunity to have a chat with, and hear about the seriously interesting journey of, recently appointed CEO of the CBH Group Ben Macnamara. Ben grew up as one of a farming family of six in the Western Australian country town of Williams about 160 kilometres from Perth. In this fantastic conversation we learn how Ben set himself a strategy of developing his career in his own way. This took him on a journey to work for some highly regarded organisations, live in big cities and overall generate everlasting experiences that have helped him build a significant skill set that lays the foundation for his current position of significant responsibility. Ben shares his thoughts into the importance of his close family and his country upbringing, sport and teamwork and his learnings along the way from his various roles to provide some outstanding insights. With the CBH Group, Australia’s largest co-operative, biggest grain exporter and one of the countries largest agribusinesses experiencing a record breaking result of receiving over 20 million tonnes of grain for this year’s harvest from across this great state of WA, this is an awesome opportunity to get to know and gain a great understanding of their new leader.
