A different title may be The Drummer's Drummer Mindset.
Tyler is a percussionist with Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast as well as several other projects in/around Asheville, North Carolina. In tandem with music he's also a family man, woodworker, and architect. He's spent an incredible amount of time not only honing his craft but researching and learning about the roots of the music and instruments that fascinate him. Drumming can be spiritually healing and Tyler does not shy away from that fact.
His reverence and love for the art has afforded him many opportunities to study with musical/cultural ambassadors like Babatundi Olatunji.

Other musicians mentioned in this conversation include:
Babatundi Olatunji (djembe)
River Guerguerian (percussion, drum set)
Michael Davis (drum set)
Evan Martin (drum set, guitar, keys)
Allan Hall (drum set)
Pedrito Martinez (percussion)
Michael Libramento (multiple instruments)
Jay Sanders (guitars)
Justin Ray (trumpet)
Molly Rose Reed (singer/songwriter)
