Art world leaders, including Jung Bong Lee, Kirsten Wang, Vladislav Ginzburg, and Walker Waugh, joined moderator Afrodet Zuri for a Gateway Korea panel discussion on how the fine art world is and is continuing to be disrupted by the emergence of digital assets.

The panelists acknowledged the profound impact of digital art and its growing significance in culture, even as some remain cautious about embracing blockchain technology.

In this talk, we cover:

- How digital provenance will disrupt the industry

- The changing relationship between artists and collectors

- Institutions embracing digital art

Jung Bong Lee is the CEO of Seoul Auction Blue, an online art auction platform that allows individuals to buy, trade, and earn returns on co-owned units of artwork. Kirsten Wang is the Manager of Research & Acquisitions at K11 Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the professional development of emerging artists from Greater China. Vladislav Ginzburg is the CEO of Blockparty, an NFT marketplace and storefront platform for creators and brands. Walker Waugh serves as the Studio Director of artist Dustin Yellin. Waugh has also worked with a variety of different galleries for artist projects and clients in their acquisition of contemporary art.
