Listen in as Sac State alumni Ryan McMurray, M.A., and Dr. Tonmar Johnson talk with San Francisco-based artist Christopher Burch about the need for more equitable representation in children’s literature. The three speakers are publishing an upcoming book series featuring African American protagonists through their media company, 7th Gap Media. They will further explore their journey in writing such a book, creating a space for other writers and artists to do the same, and the path forward for equity in the arts. Transcript S3E11
