Today, we're diving into the world of film and philanthropy with a versatile artist who has made significant strides on both sides of the camera.
Our guest is none other than Ashley Bratcher - an award-winning American actress, producer, writer, and director. With nearly a decade of on-set experience across a variety of departments, she brings a rich tapestry of knowledge to each project she undertakes. You might know her from the box office hit, 'Unplanned,' where her compelling performance resonated with audiences worldwide.
But beyond her on-screen accomplishments, Ashley is also dedicated to fostering positive change. Following the success of 'Unplanned', she joined forces with Heartbeat International to establish the Unplanned Movie Scholarship, a fund that helps mothers seeking to further their education.
As the CEO and a founding partner of Simple Jane Films, Ashley's producing credits are as impressive as her acting ones. She is currently in development of 'Pharma,' a feature-length film based on the true story of Dr. Frances Kelsey and the 1960s thalidomide tragedy. Additionally, she's filming 'Sample Babies,' a documentary that explores the largest manmade medical disaster in history and its heartbreaking impact on those affected by it.
