We’re joined by Albany Heperona Peseta, Artistic Director of Tagata Mai Saute Academy, and Academy tutor Faith Leipapati-Saimoa Taula to talanoa about their inspiring work with schools across Ōtautahi | Christchurch in raising the Pacific cultural knowledge and experience of rangatahi through performance. ‘We Stand As One Village’ was the powerful theme at the centre of the Academy’s annual Sau Ia Festival in August, this year was their biggest show to date. We explore the significance of this event and it’s growth with Albany and Faith - listen out for some snippets of the festival performances in the podcast.
