Jesus prophesied His followers would be baptized with the Holy Spirit after His ascension. However, this doctrine is not without controversy and many of its adherents are silent about it in an attempt to not cause division. The early Church was not passive about this subject. In this teaching, we will explore the book of Acts to discover what the baptism with the Holy Spirit is, who the experience is for, and what is the initial evidence of the Spirit coming upon a believer.
