Today's guest is Trisha Walsh. Trisha is currently VP of Engineering, Security Engineering and Technology at Yelp. This organization includes the eternal IT end user support, technology sourcing, procurement, people technology, and security engineering.

Trisha's role includes thought leadership and strategy for these teams in support of Yelp's employees and lines of business globally. Ensuring continuous improvement by monitoring and measuring internal applications that technology teams utilize to improve service quality and evaluating metrics service level objectives across operations.

Tricia is also a people leader with distributed teams in Canada, England, Germany, and the U.S. Additionally, she serves on the board of directors for the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in Oakland, California. Tricia has previously been employed at Gap Inc. where she managed global services strategy for IT operations.

Ms. Walsh also holds a BA in degree in sociology, social work from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, North Adams, and an MSBA in computer information systems and quantitative business methods from California State University, East Bay. She also lives in Berkeley, California with her wife.
