This week, our supporter and resident magician Leigh has really pulled a rabbit out of the hat this week! It's our first time with the Death Wish franchise, in what proved to be it's final installment.

"Death Wish V: The Face of Death" (1994) stars Charles Bronson as the infamous vigilante Paul Kersey. Directed by Allan A. Goldstein, the production of this installment faced the challenge of concluding the long-running series on a satisfactory note. Charles Bronson, in his late 70s during filming, brought his enduring presence and gritty charisma to the role once again. The production aimed to maintain the familiar formula of the series, blending action with a revenge-driven narrative, while introducing a new set of villains for Kersey to confront.

Despite the film being the last in the "Death Wish" series, it had a more modest budget compared to its predecessors. The production team had to balance the need for satisfying action sequences with the limitations of resources, resulting in a film that, while maintaining the essence of the series, had a more contained scope. "Death Wish V" retains the gritty, urban vigilante theme of the franchise while introducing fresh elements to keep the narrative engaging for fans of the series. Charles Bronson's enduring portrayal of Paul Kersey, coupled with the film's action-packed sequences, contributes to its status as a conclusion to the long-running vigilante saga.
