The battle between internal and external motivations and how it can significantly impact your journey to success. I want to shed light on a startling statistic: over 85 percent of people inadvertently sabotage their own success by anchoring their aspirations primarily in external factors.

Now, the solution to this challenge might be straightforward, but let's face it, the real hurdle is putting it into action. Consider the scenario of choosing a career path. I want you to reflect on your motivations; whether it's landing a specific job, clinching a promotion, or venturing into entrepreneurship.

I'm making a bold claim here: Relying on external reasons is a surefire path to failure, possibly even burnout.

Take, for instance, the pursuit of a medical career driven by family expectations.

It underscores the delicate balance we must strike between internal passion and external pressures. I get it; distinguishing between internal and external influences can be a challenge. That's where many people stumble. It all boils down to understanding where your motivation originates and why having a primarily internal drive is non-negotiable.

Drawing from my experiences in franchise consulting, I've learned the importance of aligning your strengths and preferences with your business choices for genuine success. Now how do these internal and external factors shape your environment, career decisions, and life choices. Are you letting your surroundings elevate or impede your progress?

Climbing the corporate ladder might feel fulfilling at first, but what happens when that excitement wears off, and you're left asking, "What's next?" It's crucial to understand that being a product of your environment can either propel you forward or hold you back.

I want to introduce you to a game-changing formula: DIT, which stands for Discover, Investigate, Tune. Applying this formula to your decision-making process ensures that your actions align with your internal motivations. It's all about accurately identifying your core anchor points, creating a flexible and successful foundation.

This theory is practical advice on regular self-assessment and calibration. I'm encouraging you to aim for 80 percent internal motivation rather than striving for perfection. This approach becomes a habit, a subconscious guide that eases your decision-making process and sets you on a path customized for your unique success.
