First, Denise shares how a huge recent work event unfolded in Catalina and how she returned to center amidst the ups and downs. Jackie also experienced a rough week dealing with job rejection and coming to terms with her feelings about living in LA. By focusing on her needs in the present moment, one at a time, she is steadily working her way through the discomfort.

One way Jackie has been coping is to get off social media, and the duo reflect on the current state of Instagram and Facebook. Sometimes, putting in the social “sweat equity” is what the job calls for. Other times, it's putting the phone down and living.

The pair are currently writing a workbook together and preparing for an in-person meet up in April. They describe their meeting approach as a new 12-step program for people who don’t identify with having an “-ism,” like alcoholism, though -ism folks are very welcome too.

Denise and Jackie wrap up by reviewing how their planning for an upcoming family trip to Japan is coming along and reminding themselves and their listeners that no matter the depths of despair that you are feeling, you are still being cradled and looked after by something. Take those small action steps when you’re feeling blue. They really add up!
