The Good News in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV)

“...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…”
Learn the verse 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Paul reminds us of the Gospel he preached and encourages us to hold fast to the Word to be saved. He emphasizes the importance of trusting in Christ's work, rather than relying on any personal merit or works, in order to be saved. We cannot do anything. Christ did the work of salvation. He suffered and died for our sins, and then rose again.

We must understand the bad news before we can appreciate the good news. God created humans in His image, but sin separates us from God. Sin is rejecting God and the world He created. Christ died for us to restore our relationship with God. Christ died for our sins and paid the penalty, and the resurrection is proof of God's acceptance of that payment. We can now rest in the finished work of Christ.
