There are few in the world that will receive a national award and be invited to personally meet a head of state – the Prime Minister of England in this case, and even fewer that would politely decline the request because they’re up a mountain putting in the miles to raise even more funds for others who really need it the most.
I’m talking about Retired Military Sargent Gina Atkinson -and this really happened to her - and so it’s my pleasure to have her with us again in this second and last of a special two-part episode which features the remarkable and tireless work Gina has been doing in honour of veteran’s and young cadet charities.
Specifically, we'll hear about the final legs of Gina's 300 miles trek across some of the most difficult and remote parts of Scotland, trekking, kayaking and cycling – all to raise funds for veterans charities. And she did it solo! You won’t want to miss it – let’s jump in!
Read on for information and ways you too, can help!
