The Sound Chaser Progressive Rock Podcast is on the air. The show this time is a special review of albums that made the Official Progressive Albums Chart. I also have an In Memoriam feature to commemorate Moody Blues keyboardist Mike Pinder. All that, plus news of tours and releases on Sound Chaser. Official Charts is the company in the UK that keeps track of singles and album sales in the UK, the equivalent of Billboard in the US. In 2015, Official Charts started a new feature, the Progressive albums chart, which started as a monthly listing in September of that year. Charts cover a one-month period, listing the top 30 sellers in that category for that month. Because the charts simply rate according to sales, albums that make the charts include not only new music, but also reissues of old music. Thus, you will hear in the sample in this show a mix of the newer and older music. Also, I have not limited the selections to chart toppers, but have included music that peaked in different locations of the charts.
