3X Oscar winning documentary filmmaker, Mark Jonathan Harris, who has a long resume that also includes an Emmy nomination, nearly half a century as a professor of film, an award-winning author of 10 books, a crime-reporting background that includes a stint as the Associated Press.

But for all that he’s accomplished, he is most proud to use his story-telling gift in his new book, Misfits, to share moving and inspiring stories that explore the resilience of the human spirit. Which is our topic of discussion today.

Ladies and gentlemen, Mark Jonathan Harris’ new book Misfits is a brilliant collection of short stories.

It consists of a kaleidoscope of characters adrift in a precarious world, Misfits grapples with the challenges of contemporary life, including climate change, inequality, uncertainty, and pain.

The fraught encounters of his characters all have unexpected and startling consequences. Despite their differences in age, background, and circumstance, the characters in Misfits share a common sense of dislocation and alienation. They struggle to find a sense of belonging and connection, but ultimately discover unexpected sources of resilience and hope.

Misfits is available now on Amazon, so order your copy today.
