Writer/director Nick Russell and writer/producer Nick Musgrove and their short film FAVOURITES (Australia).

It tells the story of two parents who are faced with an impossible decision when their family camping trip turns dire. This genre-busting comedic film has been selected from over 8000 entries for the prestigious Tribeca Festival in New York. This is the film’s third OSCAR-qualifying festival selection after Cleveland International Film Festival and Flickerfest in Sydney.

Co-writer, director and producer Nick Russell is an award-winning actor who has starred on Australian and international screens for 26 years. Appearing in WENTWORTH, UTOPIA, and WINNERS & LOSERS, he also had the lead role in SIGNS, which won a Gold Lion Cannes award. Nick directed the beloved sketch comedy group THE PELOTON and their Hollywood television pilot DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY.

Co-writer Nick Musgrove wrote the International Emmy nominated WRONG KIND OF BLACK (ABC, Netflix) with Boori Monty Pryor. Nick has written for ABC’s SQUINTERS and all three seasons of Network Ten’s sitcom HOW TO STAY MARRIED. Nick is a Screen Australia ‘Enterprise People’ Award winner and dual Australian Writers Guild nominee.

Nick Russell and Nick Musgrove are the founders of Tandem Media - an Australian film and television production company, where they continue to write, direct and produce together. FAVOURITES is Tandem Media's first independent short film.

Having only been on the festival circuit for a short time FAVOURITES has already been selected for 10 high profile film festivals including San Diego, Calgary, Riverside and Florence where it won ‘Best Comedy’.
