In this episode of the “because, bikers matter!” ® Podcast, host David "Vegas" Shuman welcomes special guest Larry Fletcher from MotoBlot to discuss the upcoming main event happening in Chicago from June 21st to the 23rd at the Cobra Lounge on Ashland and Fulton.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mods vs. Rockers Chicago, the event that inspired MotoBlot. The celebration will include a week of activities leading up to the main event, including screenings of the movies "Quadrophenia" and "The Bike Riders."
MotoBlot will feature close to 20 bands over the three days, covering genres like punk rock, rockabilly, psychobilly, country, and more. Headliners include The Soap Girls, Ishibons, The Living Dead, Reverend Horton Heat, and Messer Chups.
New collaborations for this year's event include Three Floyds Brewery as the official beer sponsor, Monster Energy with ready-to-drink cocktails and tour water, and Mystic Images tattoo providing on-site tattoo services.
The event will also feature over 75 vendors offering a variety of motorcycle-related products and services, ensuring attendees have plenty to see and buy. Food options include gourmet hot dogs, pizzas, ice cream, and more.
MotoBlot is organized with the help of a dedicated team, including staff from Riot Fest, ensuring smooth operations and successful events like Motorcycle Mondays, Pints and Pistons, and Hex Moto throughout the summer.
Special merchandise commemorating the 20th anniversary of Mods vs. Rockers will be available, including badges, pins, t-shirts, and hats. Advanced ticket sales are strong, with Friday night expected to sell out, so attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance on motoblot.com.
