It comes down to that good old thing... research.
Your audience will be made up of a whole range of unique individuals that will need to be marketed to via different mediums.
However some audiences are easier to say "they react to that media" more than others - once again it is all about your audience and understanding their buyer behavior.
BUT and there is always a but - if you flat out HATE video content...and you feel awkward creating video, that will no doubt show up in that video...
So sometimes you do need to say "that isn't for me.." and pick another way to reach them.
