Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the California coastline!
Starting off in Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches:
Today, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. Water temperatures will be between 59 to 71 degrees. Keep an eye out for a mixed south swell and west swell. Tomorrow, the rip current risk remains moderate with similar surf heights and a mix of west swell and south swell.
Moving on to Ventura County Beaches:
Similar conditions here with a moderate rip current risk today. Surf heights between 2 to 4 feet and water temperatures of 58 to 64 degrees. The mix of west swell and south swell continues. Tomorrow, the rip current risk jumps to high with surf heights ranging from 3 to 6 feet, so be cautious out there.
In Santa Barbara County:
Today, we've got low rip current risks with surf heights of 1 to 3 feet. Water temperatures between 63 to 65 degrees. Tomorrow looks quite similar, so expect more of the same with a mix of west swell and low rip current risks.
Lastly, at San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches:
Surf heights today are between 4 to 7 feet with west swell leading the way. Tomorrow, expect the surf heights to increase slightly to 5 to 8 feet with the same west swell pattern. Stay alert and enjoy those waves!
Remember, when it comes to rip currents - low risk means unlikely, moderate risk means possible, and high risk means likely. So keep an eye out and surf safely!
