The Nats were blanked 4-0 by the visiting Padres on Tuesday night to end their three game win streak. Mark & Al marvel at how the Nationals have somehow already been shutout 11 times this season. The offense only mustered five hits and did not draw any walks in the loss.

(07:00) Jacob Young attempted a bunt early in the game with Trey Lipscomb on 2nd base. The hosts air their grievances over this decision, which is not a rarity for Davey Martinez. Lipscomb doubled in the game, but it was only his fourth extra-base hit of the season.

(11:00) The only member of the lineup with multiple hits was Juan Yepez. He has gotten a hit in all 14 games he's played in the majors since being called up from AAA.

(18:30) DJ Herz returned to the rotation and had a solid outing in defeat. He did not allow a run until the 5th, but then gave up Back-to-back HRs.

(26:00) Five bullpen arms were used after the team had Monday off. Derek Law and Jacob Barnes each allowed a run in their appearances. If Kyle Finnegan gets traded next week, will Robert Garcia take over as the closer?
