How do you choose between the “perfect on paper” guy and the “exciting but toxic” guy? Trick question: you don’t have to settle for either. You can set your standards as high as you want. Your caregivers might have set a bad example for what relationships look like but it doesn’t mean you have to keep repeating the pattern.
