THIS IS A PRE-RECORDED SHOW Bro. LASANA MACK was found dead in MD last week. The "official" explanation for death was suicide, but NO ONE I know believes that. This is a little tribute show we are putting together for him to widen his memory & legacy to those who may not have known of all the MAGNIFICENT things he was a part of and doing. At the 25th anniversary of the SANKOFA CONFERENCE here in dc in 2014, Bro. LASANA gave a presentation (with Bro. Shango Taha) called ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC SYSTEMS--WHAT IS THE BEST APPROACH FOR AFRIKAN PEOPLE'S ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT. LASANA MACK was also a spoken wordsmith & founded the spoken word/neo-soul group called BLACKNOTES. So in our tribute to this STRONG BROTHER, we are sharing his SANKOFA CONFERENCE presentation & interspercing it w/ 3 BLACKNOTES selections: 1st-BLACKNOTES LIVE--FELA'S GROOVE & AFRO BLUE 2nd-OSHUN SONG 3rd-LIVING RHYTHM Within the talk, you will hear him speak of an organization he founded & was Executive Director of called APPEAL INC, which stood for ASSOCIATION of PEOPLE for PAN AFRIKANIST ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT thru LEVERAGE. To find out more about this great organization AND TO HELP in any way you can, please go to www.appealinc.org LASANA LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!! LASANA SPEAKS!!!!!!!!
