Welcome to the intro show for the Relationships Matter Series. For the month of February the shows will be focused on building and establishing godly and healthy relationships in every key area of your life. The power of choice is the “ability” to “select” one thing rather than another. “Choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).” Some relationships are chosen based on the “other gods.” The gods of loneliness, fear of being alone, fear of being rejected and wanting to be accepted. People who have these feelings and fears usually involve themselves with others that appear to satisfy their unhealthy emotional needs. For the power of choice to be effective in your life, you must be free to choose. Choices are made in your mind. The Bible admonishes you in I Chronicles 28:9 to serve God with a perfect heart and a willing mind. Learn how to use the power of choice the right way in your life for building and establishing good relationships. This teaching is taken from my "Friends, Foes and Fellow Christians" Making Good Choices in Relationships and Avoiding the Wrong Ties.
