Episode 1: Meet the Snails

Join Snow, Tracy, Fiddy, and Chel in a round table on origin stories, the state of K-beauty in the Western market, and where we’re headed in the future as individuals and a squad. Salt and shade rating: Yes to both.

How The Snailcast came to be

You might wonder how (or why) the snail squad was formed, and by extension, The Snailcast. It’s a bit of a twist on friends-turned-collaborators; in our case it was strangers-turned-collaborators-turned-friends. Although we’d admired one another’s work, we’d never collaborated until the fateful day that Holy Snails saw her fledgling work flagrantly swiped by a business and she reached out for advice. What was initially a one-off poll for opinions rapidly evolved into a rout of snails ready to #slideordie and packing more sass than you can shake a[n eye]stalk at, but it felt a little selfish for us to keep all the fun to ourselves.

How could we bring everyone else into our silly, but insightful, conversations? We had all sorts of people commenting, emailing, asking questions, interacting on our blogs and social media- how could we encompass all of it into one place, with the benefit of all four of us weighing in on what people wanted to know? And thus The Snailcast was born!
