As a teen father of two children by the age of 16, then going to prison for drugs and robbery by age 17, Junya found that during his seven years of incarceration in an adult facility, he knew he had to get back to his family and make a difference in a more positive way. That was when he allowed the one thing that could always set him free from his day-to-day pain to come in and take over instead of leading a life doomed of poverty and crime, Junya discovered that music and poetry was an outlet and that one thing that he had a great deal of passion for since grade school.
