There are two GP riders that have figured out Qatar: Marquez and Dovizioso. But one of them has the most patience and the best drive. The race was phenomenal for all the tactics and the battles between a large group with some unexpected riders. We expected the group, but who knew that Rins, Cal, and Mir would be there, everything considered. Rossi and Jorge's performances are applauded as well, though maybe for different reasons than you might think.
Of course, that wasn't the biggest story all weekend. Ducati came out swinging at Qatar with innovations that are pushing the limit in MotoGP. The other factories (except Yamaha) have already protested their implementation of a rear tire cooling device. And we love all the drama!
We round this one out talking about rookies. Kev is pioneering the Fabio train. Olivera gets a mention because of some surprises on the KTM. And the rest left us a little disappointed, at least for Round 1.
