We had already planned to record the 166th episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast on Thursday morning, and then we went into CRAZY HYPER URGENT MODE when the news broke that top Rockies prospect Brendan Rodgers is reportedly headed to the big leagues on Friday. What does it all mean, Basil? We'll look at what Rodgers' brilliant start to the 2019 season with Triple-A Albuquerque means, how the Rockies can get him everyday playing time, and what the future looks like for the infield at large.
Plus, the Rockies are coming out of one of the strangest two-game series we've seen in -- ever. We'll look back at the last two days in Boston, the bizarre 24-strikeout performance that still somehow turned into a win, and the fact that getting a split on the road is always the goal, and somehow the Rockies did that against the defending World Series champions.
Plus, the Rox head to Philadelphia this weekend to take on the Fightin' Bryce Harpers. We'll take a look at Harper's recent struggles and what they might mean for the Phils going forward.
