My name is Julie Rocco, and my purpose is to offer hope, healing, and happiness to individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide. In the depths of my own attempted suicide, I could not manifest thoughts of hope for a better, brighter future. I, like many others, am one of the fortunate who survived. This podcast will share "Rays of ...

Feeling hopeless? Good. When we're feeling hopeless we have two choices: either something needs to change, or something needs to end. The lens and perspective in which we choose to view life will create the experience we have. We have no influence over the past, but we do have influence over our future - How will you use that influence? WILL you us…

Have you ever viewed food as a god? How about attention? Usually when we think of "serving two masters" we think of money, sex, drugs, etc., but the other master can be anything that we are turning to more than or instead of our Father. Most of the time, it's something we have an unhealthy relationship, pattern, or cycle with - which the enemy is v…

The enemy is sneaky and slithering in the ways he attacks us, and nothing is off-limits. He can come at us through spiritual warfare, through our prayer life, and even make us question our relationship with our Father. In this "unofficial" part 2 of "What is Blocking Your Connection w/ God?" I share my own experiences with this and encourage you to…

Surprise! We want God's Glory, without ever spending any time in the wilderness. We want God's character, but don't want the discomfort of Him "reshaping us." While in my morning time today, God put on my heart to make this episode and share this word for someone. Praying it can connect with you. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify…

Emotional trauma is layered, therefore, the healing as well is layered. We need to remember to be kind and patient with ourselves. But we also need to remember that there is an enemy who wants to keep us stuck, distracted, and in BONDAGE. We were designed for relationship with our Father, but the enemy is sneaky and he will try and convince us that we're not "capable" of it. But sometimes, it has nothing to do with the enemy, sometimes blocks are created through our own sin, disobedience, and feelings that we are harboring. In order to have connection with God, we have to have true …

Do you know who you *actually* are? Not who you BELIEVE you are. Not who you PERFORM. Not your insecurities, false beliefs, self-doubt... Heavier seasons can come with heavy feelings and emotions. At times, these feelings and emotions can feel all-consuming and overwhelming. But God. As I have walked through my own season, I realized at times I've given my feelings and emotions far more power than they actually have. In this episode, we're discussing taking our power back, putting on…

When we navigate anything soul-crushing, our coping mechanisms always want to come in and “protect us.” Because at one point, when we lived in “survival mode,” we needed them. But no longer being in survival mode means now feeling our feelings (UGH). To be honest, I don’t really view this as a “part 2,” but here we are….In this episode, I share mor…

In this week’s episode, I open up about a current situation I am navigating and walking through this season while dealing with an ex. The truth is, it’s not about them, but really, what God needs ME to surrender in this season - oof! Our feelings are always valid, but they are not always fact, and that can be difficult to keep in mind when someone …

Getting real and honest with God transforms our relationship with Him. We don’t gain anything by concealing our true feelings about Him, or about our own current situations. Have you gotten radically honest with God?I’m also excited to share the incredible God encounter I had recently. Had it not been for my obedience in that moment, it would’ve ne…

As I've continued to find myself in a pruning season, there are relationships in my life that have changed and/or completely ended. None of this is easy. In fact, at times it's been heartbreakingly hard. But I can do hard things. Two things can be true at once: I can love something/someone with all my heart - and also know that I still have to leav…
