The Nordic Asia Podcast is a collaboration sharing expertise on Asia across the Nordic region, brought to you by the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS) based at the University of Copenhagen, along with our academic partners: the Centre for East Asian Studies at the University of Turku, and Asianettverket at the University of Oslo.
 
Listen to researchers talk about the history, society and culture of the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the autonomous territories, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Åland). Mainly interviews and panel discussions, but also synopses of particular historical events and topics within the humanities and social sciences written by researchers and read out in one of the Nordic languages as well as English.
 
The Holberg Prize is awarded annually to a scholar who have made outstanding contributions to research in the arts and humanities, social sciences, law or theology. The Prize amounts to NOK 6 000 000. The Holberg Prize also awards the Nils Klim Prize (NOK 500 000) to young Nordic scholars in the same academic fields. In this channel we publish interviews and lectures with the Laureates, Holberg Week Guests and other events.
