(Radio Adaptation. )In 1939-1940 this Mutual Broadcasting System radio program "Sherlock Holes Adventures" starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson was popular. These are shortened adaptations (the usual Sherlock Holmes adventure is a one hour read).. These recordings are of varying quality with most in the good to very good sound range. I still like the story exactly as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle writes it but this radio adaptation is pretty good.
