Lonesome Rhodes Behind the Wheel is a podcast about cars. We will have on curators from various car museums across the country, including the Pioneer Museum in Minden, Nebraska, the Museum of speed in Lincoln, the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, the Orphan Car Museum in Ypsilanti, the Studebaker Museum in South Bend, and the Gilmore Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan among them. We will be going to car shows throughout the summer months, and talking to car historians such as Phil Skinner, appraiser for Kelly Blue Book and the guru of all Edsel knowledge and, for that matter, everything automotive. We’ll dive all the way back to the 1907 White Steam car that severely burned Jay Leno, and we’ll dive even farther back to talk about the Studebaker Corporation before they started building cars. We will have screenwriter Pat Stibbs on to talk about automotive movies, and will feature a gentleman that scouts out cars for movie sets. We will talk with a race car driver that spent many years as a driver in the SCCA Spec Racer Ford series, and we’ll talk to two of my nephews, one of which is restoring a 1959 Continental Mark IV that’s been in the family since 1965, and my other nephew that works on cars at a car dealership in Utah. And we’ll talk to a lady that has owned a 1985 Pontiac Fiero for many years and her adventures with that vehicle. Would like to hear your input on future shows!
