This session will encompass an overview of the management of Hepatitis C in primary care and subspecialty medicine.
Dr. Justin Reynolds will review the basic principles of managing Hepatitis C, screening methodologies for advanced fibrosis in Hepatitis C patients, and the framework for initiating treatment with direct-acting antiviral (DAA) regimens.
Dr. Saira Khaderi will present insights into the Baylor St. Luke's Project ECHO program, which facilitates coaching for primary care physicians and APPs across Texas and CommonSpirit Health, focusing on effective Hepatitis C patient management through virtual case-based discussions.
Dr. Erin Sharp and Dr. Nicholas Stine will engage in a thoughtful panel discussion regarding the importance and feasibility of treating Hepatitis C within our communities.
