In a sport where only .03% of the US population will compete, the thought of ultra-running, or running long distances for hours or days at a time, for most of us, would bring up pictures of pain and suffering.
However, for some, it is a way of life and one where skill and performance can increase with age.

Mike has been Trail running since moving to Colorado in 2001 and running ultras in earnest since 2013. He has 7 finishes at 100-mile events and nearly 50 ultra races in total.
