Ep 13: How To Stop WASTING Your Life: Stephen Covey & Time Management
Manage episode 357932286 series 3430470
Our life is made up of time. Nothing more and nothing less. So if I waste my time, I am literally wasting my life.
Stephen Covey, in his book: The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People, teaches time management better than anyone else I have ever heard or read.
This episode covers the 4 different ways you can categorize and therefore better manage your time based on what you should do more of and what you should do less of.
Questions I covered in the episode to ask yourself when trying to better manage your time:
1.) Does this REALLY need done?
2.) If so, how soon?
3.) Do I HAVE to be the one to do it?
4.) If not, WHO, or HOW, can I delegate this task?
5.) What would happen if it DIDN’T get done at all?
Summary:
Quadrant 1: Urgent and important - Do It NOW/ ASAP
Quadrant 2: Not urgent but important - Plan It / Schedule It
Quadrant 3: Urgent but not important - Delegate It (Have Someone Else Do It If Possible)
Quadrant 4: Not urgent and not important - Avoid at all cost / NEVER do it. ( ELIMINATE IT.)
