The 1980's is one of the most tumultuous decades in American crime history. Those years set the tone for the classic image of a serial killer or deranged madman lurking in the shadows. Gary Heidnik was one of those men, committing crimes that would inspire Hollywood fiction that reshaped the horror genre.

This week, Joe tells the Dark Tale of Gary Heidnik and the atrocities he would commit upon 6 women over the course of 5 months. In the winter of 1986/87, Gary Heidnik was hellbent on having his own harem of women hidden away from the rest of the world in his basement on Marshall Street in Philadelphia.
