Being the extreme fan that I am, here is something to think about. I know it may seem strange.
In a world of tomorrow there is always today. At one point in my life I never thought I would make it to be in my thirties. I’ve had diabetes for 27 years of my life and I know that does not sound like a long time but trust me it is. I’ve had so many close calls where I literally thought I was dead. In the beginning, I thought I had it all figured out that I could just eat whatever I wanted, and the insulin would take care of it. For the first three years I was in and out of the hospital experiencing something that no one wants to ever experience. It is called diabetic ketoacidosis and it wreaks havoc on your stomach. Literally it turns your blood to acid, and you can’t eat anything for days and you even threw up water. Yes, literally water. Once you experience it you learn a few things and try to tell yourself that this will never happen again, but alas it did happen again and again. Finally in 2005, I know that makes me feel so old, that was the last time I was hospitalized for this. I have been able to manage my diabetes well enough to be hospitalized. I still have some episodes of low blood sugar but for the most part I have stayed out of the hospital.

But enough about me, Today is January 7, 2023, and it is a special day for actors all around Jeremy Renner, David Caruso, Robert Duvall, and My personal favorite Nicholas Cage.

I fell in love with Nicholas Cage a long time ago, I will always remember in him his 3 biggest Films, The Rock, Con Air and Face Off. These were possibly his bed films and when he did National Treasure a couple of years later, I still felt he was in the height of his stardom. He really started to branch out as he has gotten older and more of his films have not been my cup of tea but well I still think of him as my top All Star. To be honest, lately I have no felt compelled to watch any films. The single most film that I can remember watching where they were literally packed and yes I watch the film more than once was the End of the Avengers Infinity series. The Avengers have always been well up there in terms of action. The news Marvel film the 3 movie in the series of Thor was really a great film, and this one opening day was shown at 9 AM, I don’t think besides this one that I have ever seen a movie at the theater at 9 am but well my husband and I saw that one together.

Anyways lets get back to Nicholas Cage, His most epic moment where I really fell in love with him was in Con Air, where he was in the this white shirt and running and you could see his abs, I was a little unsure of his hair in the film, but well when he came running that was it was for me. I also loved in this film how even though his wife was barely pregnant, he came back from off his tour and talked to her belly. It was adorable and made my heart just cry when they locked him up. His character always did the right thing even if that meant he would get hurt. The funniest part in the movie was when the actor Colm Meaney, or agent Duncan Malloy, has this fabulous light blue Corvette Stingray, which was a wow by any standard and it gets smashed in the scene, and the reason it was so funny was on the planes lift off the Stingray is flying behind the airplane and then they let it go and it crashes right in front of Duncan Malloy. The reason to me that is so funny is because believe me Duncan Malloy deserved it… he was a complete buthole the entire film, and well honestly that was the funniest part of the movie.
