I've launch several startups already and try several times to raise funds. I don't know if it's because I'm a Tech guy, if it's because I don't have the right words for investors, but I never got a dime from external investments, not even public grants. The only things I got were loans... And what I can tell you about it is that, whenever you need to pay yourself and bring money every single month, then you really focus on what matter: Your customers. So if you would ask me the question between bootstrapping and raising funds, I woulg go 100% on bootstrapping. We have everything we needs nowadays to create some traction, even without any product. Video production became more easy than ever, we can attract user on social media by focusing on one specific topic and prove our market. So if you found yourself putting too much energy on raising fund, stop it, and focus on your clients instead.
