L’amas d'étoiles Omega Centauri contiendrait bien un trou noir de masse intermédiaire selon une étude publiée dans Nature Astronomy, grâce à un suivi minutieux de deux décennies d'images prises par le télescope spatial Hubble. Ce trou noir central aurait une masse minimale de 8200 masses solaires.
