This week, the boys are joined by Devon from the 'Horrorble Podcast' who are pretty much responsible for this podcasts existence. So as you can imagine, Paul is a little more excitable than normal.
Directed by Brian De Palma and released in 1976, "Carrie" is a seminal horror film based on Stephen King's debut novel of the same name. The story centers on Carrie White, a shy and introverted teenage girl who discovers she has telekinetic powers. Bullied at school and abused by her religiously fanatic mother, Carrie's powers manifest in increasingly destructive ways, culminating in a night of terror at her high school prom. Sissy Spacek delivers a haunting and memorable performance as Carrie, capturing both her vulnerability and the terrifying intensity of her supernatural abilities. The film masterfully explores themes of isolation, revenge, and the consequences of unchecked cruelty, resonating with audiences and critics alike.

"Carrie" is renowned for its iconic prom scene, which has become one of the most memorable moments in horror cinema. De Palma's direction, coupled with Spacek's mesmerizing performance, creates a sense of mounting tension that erupts in a spectacular display of chaos and tragedy. The film's themes of adolescent angst and the abuse of power remain relevant, ensuring its enduring legacy in the horror genre. "Carrie" has left an indelible mark on popular culture and continues to captivate audiences with its powerful storytelling and unforgettable imagery, solidifying its status as a classic of horror cinema.
