Dr. Stina Lilje (e-mail, ResearchGate) is interviewed by Stephen M Shaffer about her recent paper, “Cost-effectiveness of specialized manual therapy versus orthopaedic care for musculoskeletal disorders: long-term follow-up and health economics model” published in Therapeutic Advances in Musculoskeletal Disease. The paper and conversation describe an interesting look into the financial aspects of manual therapy and describes a healthcare model based on costs and effects rather than resource utilization alone.
