The House Select Committee that investigated the January 6 riot at the Capitol after the 2020 election is often referred to as a 'bipartisan' commission, but the Democrat Majority Leader, Nancy Pelosi appointed every member of the commission, even the two Republicans. The Republican minority selected no members to serve on the commission after Pelosi rejected members that they wanted on the committee. After that she appointed the only two Republicans who had voted with Democrats to create the committee, and then she continued to call it "bipartisan". Both of the Republicans that were appointed by Pelosi were later censured by the rest of the Republican caucus, and they lost their seats in Congress for their role in the commission, so was it really a 'bipartisan' commission? Join the conversation and get answers to this question and more on According2Sam episode #227.
