Do you believe generational curses are a real thing? You can find endless message on social media encouraging those who desire to break generational curses to do so. But what does that really look like? How do you break the chains of what’s been fed into your psyche during your most primitive years? Nature vs nurture is an internal battle many fight throughout adulthood. Trying to break the cycle of what’s hereditary and what has been learned. One thing for sure, negative behaviors are not inherited no matter what you’ve been exposed to.
How different would life be if parents took the time to think about how their actions could impact heir children, grandchildren and generations beyond. Recently seeing the sons of Sean Combs in cuffs as authorities raised their father’s home, it makes one wonder would Diddy have lived a different life if he thought at any moment his children would be affected. The butterfly effect is real and no one really know what they would do if given a second chance. But if some took a moment to stop and think about others beyond themselves, a lot of heartache could be saved.
As we continue on our healing journey to break the cycles of trauma, abuse and dysfunction, we take the time to discuss what life may look like if only things had happened a different way. Check out episode 169 and join the conversation. Leave a comment, like, share, and don’t forget to subscribe.
